Rachel joined MacArthur OB/GYN in 2011 as the practice’s first Certified Nurse-Midwife. Since then she has helped hundreds of babies into the world and has become a highly recommended and greatly respected midwife in the area. Rachel has a passion for educating women and has pioneered MacArthur OB/GYN’s free childbirth education program. She also volunteers her time to serve as a guest speaker on contraceptive options and sexually transmitted diseases in Arlington ISD.

Rachel received her undergraduate education from The University of Texas at Arlington majoring in nursing. Years of nursing experience in labor and delivery fueled her desire to further her education and take on a more advanced role in the care of women. Rachel attended Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing and graduated in 2011 with her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in Nurse-Midwifery. She then received certification through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) and is an active member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM). During her graduate studies she performed clinical rotations at Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas and completed her residency here at MacArthur OB/GYN and Baylor Medical Center at Irving.

“It is such a blessing for me to be able to share in this journey with women and to help them achieve their goals for their birth.”

Rachel strives to provide each woman with individualized care and support during her pregnancy and childbirth. Her warmth and joy for the profession she has chosen can be felt by anyone who meets her. “It is such a blessing for me to be able to share in this journey with women and to help them achieve their goals for their birth.”
