Medical Education

Texas Women’s University, Denton, TX

Barbara Larson received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Texas Woman’s University in Dallas and received her midwifery degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. In college and graduate school, Larson was part of Sigma Theta Tau, a nursing Honors Society. Recently, Larson was honored to be one of DFW Child Magazine’s Mom-Approved Midwives.

Barbara always wanted to help people. She was very intrigued by natural childbirth, and being able to help women have a supported experience from pregnancy through delivery.

“I practice so that I can help ensure the safety and well-being of women and their growing families.”

Barbara was a nurse for almost 20 years before becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife in 2015. She is pleased and thankful to be entrusted to care for the women in our community every day.

“I love everything about the Dallas community because I grew up in Dallas and have raised my family here. Dallas is a great family-oriented city that I’m proud to call home.”

In her free time, Barbara likes to garden and watch her children play sports, including soccer, hockey, and track. She also enjoys walking her dog, rollerblading, and jogging.
