Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, she received her bachelor’s degree from Xavier University in New Orleans then attended Louisiana State University Medical Center School of Medicine in Shreveport. Although it was hard to leave her beloved home in Louisiana, she moved to Dallas in 2000 for her residency at the prestigious Parkland Memorial Hospital. In 2003, she was honored with the Outstanding Resident Teaching Award from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
Dr. Dominique is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist who specializes in teenage and high-risk pregnancy and STD prevention. She joined MacArthur OB/GYN in 2004, and is the former chairman of the OB/GYN department at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center of Irving. She serves as the Medical Director of MacArthur Medical Center.
Through her work, Dr. Dominique promotes minimally invasive surgery whenever she can and whenever it’s the appropriate: “Many women are unaware of the minimally invasive options available today for a variety of gynecologic problems,” she said. “Many issues in women’s health, which once required major surgery, can now be solved in a short office visit. Whether it’s infertility, childbirth or routine gynecologic care, I am committed to helping women at every stage of their lives.”
When not focused on her patients and her practice, she and her family are die-hard football fans and love to spend time enjoying some real Cajun cuisine. And even with all of her success professionally, she’s still most proud of her two smart and conscientious sons.
