ABOUT LAUREN ROCK-GERALD MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Medical Education

Walden University, Minneapolis, Minnesota
Lauren Rock-Gerald MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is originally born and raised in Lancaster, Texas but did her schooling in Dallas, Texas – the home base of the Dallas Mavericks.

Lauren chose to become a nurse practitioner because helping others is her passion. While she enjoys assisting various groups in healthcare, Lauren has a soft spot for positively impacting the lives and families of children. In 2012 Rock-Gerald obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grambling State University and became a Registered Nurse. In the fall of 2021, she recently completed her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University.
Lauren is an active American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANPCB) and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated member.

She has been a Registered Nurse for more than 10 years, with 7 of those years dedicated to working in the pediatric field at Children’s Health Dallas. Her greatest accomplishment is being a mother to her two daughters and balancing her career with being active in their lives. A parent’s involvement in their child’s life is crucial.

“The most satisfying part of my work is seeing my patients’ health and quality of life improve. It brings me great joy to witness children grow up, and their families grow alongside them.” – L. Rock Gerald.

Although Lauren’s specialty is Family Medicine, she has gained most of her experience in pediatrics. The community she serves has many opportunities for growth and diversity in several demographics. Lauren firmly believes interacting with individuals from various backgrounds and experiences is a great way to learn and grow.

During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. One of her favorite pastimes is creating art pieces or designing areas for others that may bring them joy.

Welcome Lauren to MacArthur Medical Center-Pediatrics.
