Dr. Suna Burghul is a dedicated obstetrician and gynecologist who is passionate about providing compassionate care to women. Originally from Tyler, Texas—known as the “Rose Capital of America”—Dr. Burghul’s journey in medicine highlights her strong commitment to addressing women’s unique health needs.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Dallas, graduating magna cum laude, and went on to earn her medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) in Fort Worth. Dr. Burghul completed her residency at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Odessa, Texas, where she developed her expertise in women’s health and was recognized with the Outstanding Resident Award for two consecutive years.
Driven by a profound sense of purpose, Dr. Burghul views her role as an OB/GYN as a privilege. “Taking care of women is truly an honor,” she says. “Women’s pain and health concerns are so often ignored and overlooked, and I find it incredibly fulfilling to be the one to listen and make a change in their care.”
When she’s not providing compassionate care to her patients, Dr. Burghul enjoys exploring her creative side through cooking Middle Eastern cuisine and baking, with a particular love for mastering the art of French macarons. She also enjoys outdoor adventures, swimming, and snorkeling. Living life to the fullest and traveling, Dr. Burghul made one of her dream trips to the Maldives this summer.
Guided by her favorite quote, “Those who are patient in adversity and forgive wrongs are the doers of excellence,” Dr. Burghul exemplifies patience, empathy, and perseverance in every aspect of her work. She is excited to serve the DFW community and strives to be a source of support, advocacy, and expert care for every patient she encounters.
