Having been born and raised in Texas, Dr. Angela Yu is glad to be back home after a recent stint in Cincinnati. This is home and she’s glad to be back after a few years away. Dr. Yu grew up in Houston before relocating to Austin for her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas (hook ‘em horns!) before finding her way the first time to Dallas and medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern and her medical residency program.
She practices medicine for a simple reason: Because she considers it a privilege to be able to participate in her patient’s biggest life events; this is one of the most important honors in her life.
We help women navigate through their first menstrual periods, starting a family, and all the way through the symptoms a woman may experience with menopause.
Dr. Yu began to feel the calling of medicine because of her love to science and research, and she always loved the science behind medicine. Inspired to pursue this passion while also caring for others, was the perfect combination for her and she dove right in with all she had. She is still going full speed to make sure those in her care receive only the best medicine has to offer.
As a physician, she is thrilled to meet new patients and take care of people from all different backgrounds and walks of life; and Dallas and MacArthur Medical Center serves an extremely diverse patient population.
Dallas is a diverse city and I love learning from all my different patients as well.
When not at practice and with patients, she’s spending what free time she has with her young son, Ethan. If there’s ever a moment free of diaper changes and baby naps, she tries to find her way outdoors for everything that nature has to offer – hiking, snowboarding and even running. She also loves to cook delicious food whenever she gets the chance.
My goal is to help women find the best treatment options and achieve the life goals that are specific, and the best, for them.
