Dr. Nimisha Aggarwal has always had an affinity towards working with children. From working with elementary school kids during after school activities to volunteering during summer camps – she’s always surrounded herself with children of all ages.

“I am most proud when I am truly able to make a difference in a patient’s or family’s life. Being a pediatrician gives you so many opportunities to do something good for others.”

She’s known almost her entire life she wanted to be a Pediatrician so it was only natural her journey started straight from high school. She entered an accelerated combined undergraduate and medical school program in Kansas City, Missouri, where she spent six years prior to undertaking her residency at Children’s National in Washington, D.C. – a top five children’s hospital in the United States.

Today, she is board certified in both general pediatrics and pediatric cardiology.

A native of Maryland, she was transplanted to Edmond, Oklahoma, as a teen. She met and married her husband while in residency in D.C. A native of Dallas, they relocated to Dallas, which she now lovingly refers to as her home.

“I am most proud when I am truly able to make a difference in a patient’s or family’s life. Being a pediatrician gives you so many opportunities to do something good for others.”

For inspiration, Dr. Aggarwal doesn’t have to look far. She is inspired by the opportunity to serve children and their families each day by providing the highest level of care possible to the patients of MacArthur Medical Center.

When not in practice, she and her husband spend their time traveling as much as possible and are focused on their young son. During football season Sundays, she can be found rooting for her beloved Cowboys!
