Kristen Hartman, WHNP-BC, RNC-OB comes to MacArthur Medical Center with over 20 years of experience in Women’s Health.
After graduating from the University of Texas Arlington in 2005 with her Bachelors in Nursing degree, Kristen started her nursing career at Baylor Medical Center Irving as a postpartum, antepartum and gynecology nurse.
She spent 6 years caring for these women and during this time became very intrigued by the labor and birthing process. It is then that she switched to Labor and Delivery which is where she really fell in love with helping families bring babies into the world. During her 6 years in Labor and Delivery she worked at Baylor Medical Center Irving, Medical City Arlington and Medical City Alliance. While in L&D she became certified in High Risk Obstetrics and fetal monitoring and during her time at MCA she was nominated for and won the Daisy Award for her outstanding patient care and for always going above and beyond for her patients.
After having a family of her own she decided to take her education to the next step. She graduated from Kent State University with her Masters in Nursing and received her Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner license in 2018. Since then she has been serving the women of DFW. “As a nurse practitioner, I am able to dedicate my time with patient education. I love empowering women to take a lead in their own health and wellness.”
Kristen was born and raised in Fort Worth and still calls Fort Worth home. She is the first person in her whole entire family to go to college and earn not one, but two degrees. She is married and has a beautiful daughter whom she likes to spend all of her free time with. In her spare time she is found cheering her daughter on at her volleyball tournaments, spending time with extended family, playing with her fur babies and traveling.
