ABOUT DR. ELIA FANOUS

Dr. Elia Fanous joined MacArthur OB/GYN in January of 2008. He is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Fanous went to Baylor University and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Biology with a Chemistry minor. He then enrolled in graduate school at Baylor and received a Master of Clinical Gerontology degree. He went on to medical school at Texas Tech and graduated in 2001. After finishing medical school, he completed his training in OB/GYN at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, and then started practicing in Irving in 2005.

Dr. Fanous volunteers for the Arlington/Mansfield Pregnancy Center and also sits on the board for Mid-Cities Pregnancy Center. He served as the OB/Gyn department chairman at Baylor Medical Center in Irving for 2011 and 2012. Dr. Fanous also has privileges and practices at THR HEB Hospital in Euless, and THR Surgery Center in Bedford.
Dr. Fanous enjoys all aspects of OB/GYN, including minimally invasive in-office procedures, robotic surgery, infertility, obstetrics, gynecology, and pelvic surgery and strives to give personalized, compassionate, and the best care possible for women in any and all stages of life.
Dr. Fanous is fluent in Arabic and conversational medical Spanish. He has twin girls, Ella and Emma, and two sons, Jacob and Gabriel. He enjoys spending free time with his family and playing indoor soccer with Dr. Livingston and friends on Saturday nights. Dr. Fanous is a die-hard sports fan, and loves the Cowboys and Mavericks.
