Dr. Kristin Lebrasseur brings her vibrant personality and passion for women’s health to MacArthur Medical Center. Born and raised in the small, one-stoplight town of Muenster, Texas, Dr. Lebrasseur learned early on the value of close-knit communities and the importance of compassionate care.
Dr. Lebrasseur’s journey to medicine was deeply personal, rooted in her father’s battle with chronic medical conditions. From a young age, she witnessed the transformative power of compassionate care during countless doctor visits and hospital stays, instilling in her a profound desire to make a difference in the lives of others. These experiences not only shaped her aspirations but also fueled her passion for medicine. Her fascination blossomed further during her first anatomy course, where the intricacies of the human body captivated her, and her love for surgery ignited a lifelong commitment to healing and innovation.
Her educational journey reflects her drive and commitment. She started at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where she earned her undergraduate degree, laying the foundation for her medical aspirations. With a thirst for deeper knowledge, she pursued a master’s in medical science at the UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth, refining her skills and focus. Her journey then took her to William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, where she immersed herself in the rigorous study of medicine. Finally, she honed her expertise during her residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Amarillo, Texas. Along the way, she embraced every challenge and celebrated every milestone, preparing herself to deliver the highest quality care to her patients. After graduating in June 2024, she’s thrilled to bring her expertise and passion to the DFW community.
Dr. Lebrasseur’s career is defined by her dedication to teaching and leadership in medicine. She led a project in medical school that created instructional anatomy videos for future students. During her residency, she revised the didactic calendar and enjoyed mentoring junior residents, finding great joy in their success.
Specializing in general OB/GYN care, Dr. Lebrasseur is passionate about birth control and family planning. She values her role as an advocate for women, supporting them through family planning, infertility, pregnancy, and menopause. Her commitment to women’s health is evident through her recognition for excellence in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as Obstetrics and Maternal Fetal Medicine. These accolades reflect her dedication to providing exceptional care at every stage of a woman’s life.
