ABOUT SUMMER MIGONI, PA-C

Physician Assistant

University of Texas, Southwestern School of Health Professions, Dallas, TX

Serving patients is what drew physician assistant Summer Migoni into medicine. The most important aspect of her career in medicine is getting to know patients, and helping them navigate their healthcare journey. In fact, patient education is the most important part of her work in the practice, she says, because patients that are able to fully understand their bodies and conditions are best able to understand the care protocols they will receive.

The bond between a patient and her OBGYN is one of the most unique in all of healthcare, because of this, Summer deeply values getting to know those women that she cares for and experiencing some of the most important life changes right along with them.

Being able to share those important life changes with my patients is what is most gratifying about working in women’s health.

A lifelong Texas native, Summer grew up in Plano, but moved to Dallas for physician’s assistant school, and has settled into the community. Prior, she attended Austin College for her undergraduate degree, graduating summa cum laude in 2012. She received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas, Southwestern School of Health Professions, in 2015.

She joined the practice in February 2016.

Having grown up in a diverse family, she appreciates the diversity of patients who trust MacArthur OBGYN with their care; in fact, the patient diversity is one of the aspects that attracted her to want to join the practice.

When not in practice or serving patients, Summer is cooking up something new or trying new foods and local eateries, as well as traveling and trying to explore new countries and locales. Or, she’s cheering on the Dallas Mavericks and Stars.
