Medical Assistant

Minimum Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience {or equivalent education) in a medical office setting. Some Customer Service experience is
required. Phlebotomy experience required. Electronic Practice Management system or Electronic Health Records system experience required (EPM/EHR). Must have excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the Internet. Must have the willingness and ability to adapt to change including advances or new technology. Must have excellent customer service skills and be committed to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction. Must meet all MMC Health Services skills criteria for the position.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
• Medical Assistant Certification or Phlebotomist training required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain MA and CPR certification.
MA Job Duties
- Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming the purpose of visit.
- Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary.
- Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
- Counsels patients by transmitting physician’s orders and questions about surgery

Call Center Representative

We are looking for a Call Center Representative who will be the liaison between MacArthur Medical Center and our patients by handling inbound calls for scheduling and triage, making outbound customer service calls, and assisting patients via online chat service. A successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, accept ownership for effectively solving customer issues, complaints, and inquiries; keeping patient satisfaction at the core of every decision and behavior by continuously demonstrating our core values: Excellence, Teamwork, Innovation, Compassion, and Integrity.

Location: Irving, Tx
Working Days: Hours of operation Monday through Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Fridays 8am to 5pm (Fridays may vary depending on after hours).
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
- Intake an average of 350 calls per week and complete call assignments in a timely manner.
- Agent must score an average of 80% and above on quality score.
- Follow communication scripts
- Identify the patient’s needs, clarify information, research every issue or request and provide solutions and/ or alternatives
- Seize opportunities to balance providers’ weekly and monthly schedules
- Support process and change initiatives as directed by management
Call Center Representative Skills and Qualifications:
Strong verbal communication and active listening skills, customer focus and adaptability to different personality types, ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively; confidentiality when handling patient protected health information, computer skills and ability to learn new software systems quickly and efficiently; a positive, can-do attitude, is a must!
