Medical Education

For Dr. Brian Enggano, the most gratifying part of his work is his ability to touch lives especially for those who need it the most. The concept of providing world-class care and exceeding his patient’s expectations is at the heart of the way he practices. It is this very approach in which he is building his practice as a physician here at MacArthur OBGYN.

Perhaps some of the passion he has for caregiving was instilled by his father, who was also a physician. Because of him, Dr. Enggano decided to pursue the practice of medicine. He chose the field of OBGYN because of its continuity of care, surgical experience, and of course delivering babies! By the way, Dr. Enggano has delivered over 5,000 babies and is still counting.

I love obstetrics and believe that birth is a natural process that I feel it is an honor to be a part of with every patient

Dr. Enggano was born in Memphis, TN, grew up in Tupelo, Mississippi, and attended the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) for his undergraduate degree. His med school days were spent at the University of Tennessee, which ultimately led to his OBGYN residency at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (Parkland Hospital) where more than 15,000 deliveries occur yearly. While there, he received the prestigious Peggy J. Whalley Medicus Award from UT Southwestern Department of OBGYN, which is the award given annually to the “Most Outstanding Senior Resident”.

Dr. Enggano’s professional goal is to affect people’s lives for the better with the care he provides. He believes that being a doctor is a privilege as well as an opportunity to counsel, teach, and learn from his patients. To this point, he considers becoming a physician his greatest success, with his ultimate goal to remain a strong advocate for women’s healthcare and the patients that he serves. While he enjoys the broad scope of his practice, his particular interests include minimally invasive and robotic surgery, gynecologic office procedures, and community service and outreach. Dr. Enggano currently serves as Vice Chair of the OBGYN Department for both Baylor Scott & White at Irving and Texas Health Harris Methodist HEB. He is also a member of the Governing Board at the Texas Health Surgery Center – Bedford. For his practice MacArthur OBGYN, he serves as the Director for Provider Recruitment.

Being a doctor at MacArthur OBGYN has allowed me to serve patients, colleagues, and the community alike. I love what I do and will continue to do this for a very long time

When not serving the needs of his patients, Dr. Enggano is usually enjoying time with his wife and baby daughter Ella around DFW. He’s a big sports fan and spent much of his youth playing basketball, tennis, and soccer but most recently has adopted ultimate frisbee. He and his wife are avid travelers and love to visit overseas although his favorite destination thus far has been Ecuador, which is where his wife is from.
