Dr. Dixit was raised in Columbus, Georgia. She attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a minor in Educational Studies. Her college coursework combined her interest in science and passion for working with children, which ultimately set her on the path to becoming a pediatrician. Dr. Dixit earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. She then moved to Dallas, Texas to complete her pediatric residency training at UT Southwestern Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Dixit was captured by Texas pride and the diversity of Dallas, so she decided to make DFW her home.
“A healthy child is a happy child.”
A healthy child is a happy child. That is Dr. Dixit’s motto. (Her other motto is Dr. Dixit will work to fix it!) Her greatest measures of success are her patients and their physical and psychosocial well-being. In her practice, she emphasizes a team approach – a partnership between herself, patients with their guardians, and local medical experts in order to provide a high level of care. Dr. Dixit is excited to join MacArthur Pediatrics and looks forward to caring for this community’s young generation, helping to propel them from a healthy childhood to a healthy adulthood. Her specific medical interests include preventative medicine and childhood obesity.
Outside of work, Dr. Dixit enjoys exploring the culinary world through new recipes, different ethnic cuisines, and the Food Network channel. She stays active by playing tennis and jogging. Dr. Dixit is lucky to have travelled internationally, having visited Thailand, Mexico, Egypt, China, and India and hopes to see much more!
