Prior to joining MacArthur Pediatrics in Dallas, Abby practiced as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Tampa, FL since 2017.

Abby always knew she wanted a career working with children, and became interested in healthcare through various volunteering opportunities at Children’s Hospitals while she was in high school and college. These experiences helped shape her career path as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

She loves being a nurse practitioner because it gives her the opportunity to provide education and anticipatory guidance to patients at each visit. She strives to make sure that the patient’s and family’s concerns are heard at every visit and that their questions are answered thoroughly. She enjoys forming relationships with patients and seeing them grow and achieve new milestones over the years.

In addition to being a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Abby is also a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), which is beneficial for providing additional breastfeeding resources to new moms and babies. She has a special interest in newborn care and breastfeeding education.

“I love being able to watch children grow from newborns into happy, healthy young adults. I feel fortunate to be able to play a significant role in the health and wellbeing of children and help guide parents along the way.”

Abby is board certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board since 2017 and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She enjoys attending conferences and staying up-to-date on evidence based practice relating to pediatrics.

Outside the office, Abby enjoys spending time with her fiancé, family and friends. She also loves traveling, exercising, trying new restaurants, and cooking.
